Technology integration into mathematics classrooms: case study of a highschool teacher's use of GeoGebra

Résumé

This paper centers on the use and integration of resources in mathematics classrooms. It presents an experienced teacher’s use of GeoGebra and of worksheets in a class with 11th grade high-school students, and contrasts it with his reflection during a semi-structured interview that took place after the class. We aim to show how this teacher structures and integrates his resource system (including a technological tool) into the educational model (and the curricular characteristics and analyse the role that his experience plays in such integration). The data analysis shows the difficulties of this teacher in integrating the technological tool into his classes, and how his vast teaching experience is insufficient for him to efficiently achieve that resource integration.
