Résumé
One of the most important centres of East-Syrian christianism, the Great Monastery of Mount Izla, was involved in controversy, particularly with the syro-orthodoxes. This article aims at demonstrating the strategic aspect of these dissents for the permanence of East-Syrian communities on the Sasanian territory.
