Le Sahara marocain : une nouvelle frontière pour le tourisme sportif de bien-être

Abstract : The Moroccan Sahara is experiencing a revival of its sports and tourism practices with an orientation toward well-being practices. Based on a literature review as well as a sociological survey conducted in the south of Morocco, this article firstly shows how these practices of healing and change of scenery (hikes and sand baths) require a multi-sensory apprehension. Secondly, it provides information on how, between immersion and emersion, they contribute to the well-being of the minds and bodies of the tourists concerned with regaining a rhythm more in harmony with and attentive to Nature and Others. Finally, it questions the possibility, conditions, and limits of well-being as a territorial resource in the development of tourism in the desert.
