This study offers a structural and political reading of 'El paraíso en el Nuevo Mundo', written circa 1656 by the Ibero-Peruvian converso, Antonio León Pinelo. As Chronicler of Indies of the Spanish Crown he knew the American landscapes and, even better, the bibliography written in those lands. His work 'El Paraíso' asks to demonstrate that the biblical Paradise was placed in the Amazon, a case he proves through a detailed knowledge of the facts, while using diverse theological and cartographic sources in different languages, including Hebrew. The study focuses on the decolonial construction codified in León Pinelo’s heterotopia.

El artículo se centra en la propuesta decolonial codificada en la heterotopía de León Pinelo.
