Entre scolastique et underground : le salafisme des jeunesses masculines en Algérie contemporaine
Abstract
This contribution looks at the pious initiation of Algerian students of Islamic sciences, and describes their discovery of quietist Salafism
on the margins of university teaching. Yannis Boudina, a doctoral student in anthropology at the EHESS and visiting researcher at the
IRMC (2023), provides us with the keys to understanding a new kind of faith, which he describes as underground. His research has
received financial support from the FMSH (Prix Louis Dumont 2022).
Cette contribution s'intéresse à l'initiation pieuse d'étudiants algériens en sciences islamiques, et décrit leur découverte du salafisme quiétiste en marge de l'enseignement universitaire. Doctorant en anthropologie à l'EHESS en accueil à l'IRMC (2023), Yannis Boudina livre ici les clés de compréhension d'une foi d'un genre nouveau, qu'il qualifie d'underground. Sa recherche a reçu le soutien financier de la FMSH (Prix Louis Dumont 2022).
