Éducation et valorisation à Cuba : Théorie et application

Résumé

This thesis relates to the production and the valorization of education in a given social formation, that of the Cuban revolution. The problems are defined using an approach combining the theory – that of the “human capital” – with the economic history. Our objective is to show that the reduction of the Cuban educational phenomenon to the concept of “human capital” is a major gap because it does not make it possible to seize the pluridimensionnality of teaching, and its insertion in a national project based on aspects “out-market” of the development (the collective mobilization, the socialist conscience, internationalism...). The setting in historical prospect reveals causality opposed to that generally retained by the “human capital”, i.e.: growth towards the development of a collectively accumulated knowledge and with vocation primarily social. The direction of this relation implies the dynamic particular ones of complementarity but we note certain contradictions between the educational process and the productive and social system towards the development. By as much as possible bringing closer the observation on the recent structural changes in the economy, through the “situation of educated workers”, of their connection to the productive system, the relation between motivation and productivity, we try to better answer dialectical between economy and education
