Résumé
The study of temperatures and rainfall over Western part of France since 1946 shows two main trends: first, an increase of maximum and minimum temperatures which is very similar to the global signal (+0.5°C.) found for the whole world; second, an obvious decrease of summer rainfall (especially in august) occurs in these areas. Such rainfall and temperature changes result in an increase of summer droughts clearly shown by the water balance patterns or by the use of empirical indexes such as Emberger's Qe.
