Domaines prosodiques et variations articulatoires segmentales en français
Résumé
Segmental variations at the edges of prosodic constituents have been shown to signal the hierarchical prosodic structure of utterances. Although it is admitted that the magnitude of these variations follow the prosodic weight of the constituents, studies in several languages have revealed a great variability in the number and types of boundaries distinguished in this way. In this paper, results from two studies in French are compared to determine which prosodic constituents can be distinguished, and how many levels of the hierarchy can be signalled by segmental variations.
