Thermal behaviour of ESR signals observed in various natural carbonates
Résumé
The thermal behaviour of the five main ESR lines observed in Quaternary carbonates (g=2.0057, g = 2.0031, g = 2.0018, g = 2.0006 and g = 1.19972) was studied tthrough isochron annealing experiments. As the general rule, ESR lines are more stable in calcitic samples than in aragonitic ones and in speleothems than in marine carbonates. In all the studied carbonates, the most stable signals are g = 2.0057 and g = 2.0031, then g = 2.006.
