Une typologie des abonnés des transports ferroviaires se déplaçant quotidiennement sur de longues distances.
Résumé
Abstract Provincial commuters live in the provinces but work in Paris, and travel there every day. Work provides them with a good reason for making this journey. Their home and domestic activities provide another for returning on a daily basis. Throughout this paper it is demonstrated that behind such commuting practices is a short-term or long-term equilibrium, composed of a desire to change the location of their residence or job or a fear of doing so, and a centrifugal or centripetal desire to resolve (or not) the tension created by spatio-temporal constraints. Our purpose has been to conduct a qualitative analysis that provides a typology of long-distance rail commuters.
