Le conte-type de Polyphème: essai de reconstitution phylogénétique.
Résumé
This study explores the diffusion of Polyphemus tales in Europe and North America using phenetic methods (NeighborNet and NeighborJoining). The populations who know these tales are strongly associated with the haplogroup X2. X2 is a Paleolithic haplogroup in Europe and reached North America about 18 000 years BC. Migrants who show haplogroup X also could have walked with their myths from Europe to North America when Beringia was above sea level. The orderly and geographically consistent phylogenetic signal in Europe and North America is consistent with prehistoric human migrations. In this paper, the document 4 has been misinterpreted, yet the conclusions remain correct.
