Mobility : the policy context

Résumé

Much has been written about creative knowledge workers and their mobility, in particular, has been identified as a key factor in the development of "creative cities". However, this research generate two important conclusions : the European creative class is not so mobile as Florida suggests, and in the European context, the so-called "personal trajectory factor" appears to be very important and, with the job opportunities, decisive for the spatial choices of the creative professionals. "Soft factors" are less significant than many authors want us to believe.
