Higher education in the Czech Republic. Structures and latest developments
Abstract
In this article, the authors analyze the higher education system in the Czech Republic, starting with the “tertiary education” and the different programs it provides (High professional, Bachelor, Master and doctoral studies), and continuing with the access system to higher education. He finishes on the compatibility of this system with Bologna’s criteria and underlines the weakest points (lack of offer, high dropout in the first years, low international mobility…) in order to set new goals.
