Modeling households spatial reorganization in North-Western Europe, A.D. 800 to 1100

Robin Cura

Abstract

This model aims to explain the changes that occurred to the settlement structure of North-Western Europe between A.D. 800 and 1100. This model focuses on how various pressures from landlords will force peasants to relocate their homes. These pressures increase through time because of the reinforcement of the lords' local power over their subjects.
