Higher learning for happiness? The non-economic benefits of higher education

Résumé

This project examines the impact of higher education on wellbeing in Canada and internationally using the capability approach. The focus is theoretical and empirical: The conceptual conclusions and statistical results are compared to those of human capital and utilitarian approaches, and the implications for higher education research in Canada are explored.
