Musique, censure et création
Résumé
The Tempio armonico, the largest edition of Italian music of the sixteenth century, brings together the madrigals revised by Ancina, official censor of the Church. The study of this exceptional case updates the history of spiritual parody, connecting it to ecclesiastical, musical and pastoral censorship by the Catholic Reformation. The study of the creation process allows us to understand how censorship, based on critical interpretation, memory and invention, was considered a work in itself.
