La tiare de Nefertiti et les origines de la reine

Résumé

The strange tiara of Nefertiti could be a precious indication of her origin. It appears to have only an extremely tenuous relationship with Tefnut, but could be similar to the headgear of Min from Akhmîm. In such a case, its name was most probably mḏȝ.t and may hint at the ethnic word Medjay (mḏȝy) often used in connection with Min from Akhmîm. Its blue color underscores the fact that it is a type of feminine headgear, as lapis lazuli hair was emphasized in the Love Songs from the New Kingdom. The tiara would confirm links between Nefertiti and Akhmîm that have already been suggested through the recent DNA analysis and various monuments and titles.
