Slow management and accounting for a socio-ecological transition: the case of agro-ecology
Résumé
Our exploratory work refers to the socio-ecological transition and the ecologically desirable economic de-growth. We introduce the concept of "slow management" as a set of management alternatives to the dominant managerial approaches. The study of a sustainable farming organization in agro-ecology allows us to build an accounting model that could be inspiring for all fields of activity. Our model can be considered as an ideal-type for slow management practices, with four pillars to support it: slowness, respect for human beings, ecology and smallness.
