Miscellaneous tablets and fragments found at Kültepe in 2012 and 2013
Résumé
The excavations at Kültepe, the ancient Kaneš, in Central Anatolia, which started in 1948 under the direction of Tahsin Özgüç, assisted by Kutlu Emre from 1955 on, have yielded up to now 17760 cuneiform clay tablets, envelopes and fragments written in the Old Assyrian dialect. This contribution contains the edition of 10 tablet and envelope fragments excavated in 2012 and 2013. These tablets are, most of the time, very fragmentary, and they were not found in situ. However, it is important to publish all the fragments, whatever their size, because they may help one day to reconstruct complete pieces. It is my pleasure to offer this modest contribution to Stefan Zawadzki who tirelessly has been tracing in the British Museum large collection of clay tablets all those dealing with his current studies and with whom I share an interest on ancient textiles.
