Method for agroclimatic zoning in the regions of Bretagne and Pays de la Loire
Méthode de zonage agroclimatique en Bretagne et Pays de la Loire.
Résumé
In the framework of the Bretagne and Pays de la Loire, an agroclimatic zoning of these two regions was produced. The objective was to identify
territories with homogeneous climatic risks. These risks were defined by twelve climatic variables associated to
agricultural issues that were identified and selected by the respective Regional Chambers of Agriculture. These
variables were spatialized by multiple regression between climate data and geographic variables. The typology resulted
from a k-means clustering of a principal component analysis of spatialized climatic variables. The statistical result
provides a map of the two regions divided into twelve agroclimatic sectors.
