Democracy at Work, Psychosocial Risks and Whistleblowing

Résumé

“Decent work”, the guiding idea of the conference, is closely related to workers’ rights, workers” voice and worker’s participation to democracy at work. Compliance with occupational health and safety regulations is one of the issues relating to the subject of whistleblowing. On these issues, the symposium starts from the regulatory framework on worker’ rights in the workplace with a particular focus on whistleblowing under a comparative approach, followed by country examples (France, Norway, Serbia, and Japan) on workers’ voice and whistleblowing in the workplace with a focus on psychosocial risks (in a broader sense), considering also cultural aspects. The aim is to understand whistleblowing concept through historical, political and legal aspects, how we think to implement it to the workplace and health and safety, in particular PSR. A summary and an outlook (“Where do we go from here”) will be provided by the discussant.
