El mundo rural medieval en la historiografía en alemán desde 1930
Résumé
It is impossible to understand the achievements as well as the shortcomings of the german-speaking historiography of the medieval rural history during the last 35 years without an analysis both of the (institutional as well as intellectual) peculiarities of german historiography in general, and of its groundings in more remote times. Indeed these characteristics have as a consequence that rural history has nowadays only a rather marginal position, reinforced by its difficulty not so much to develop new themes and methods of research, but to acknowledge these new developments and to include them in a new paradigm which would replace an older one, deeply rooted in the nazi period.
