A reading of the ambiguities of the steps of the Italian administration into seized Rome in 1870. Ambiguities on the status of the right shore of the Tiber River, of the Borgo quarter, of the Saint Peter Place and Basilica. An invitation to read sovereignty through a more complex lens than common wisdoms might suggest.
