Since 2003 American invasion, Iraq is going through a growing process of implosion of its society. Along sectarian lines first, this process became general and led to local feuds where crime vies with political or/and sectarian interests. The evolution of Iraqi Shi'a is an exaggerated representation of what is widely spreading in the whole Iraqi society. The lack of real sovereignty, along with a "lebanese style" reconstruction, has condemned all political and religious actors to confront each other on the ground of sectarian, then private interests.
