D'Athènes à Alexandrie : études sur Athénagore et les origines de la philosophie chrétienne

This work includes seven already published studies and one previously unpublished study, all of which are dedicated to Athenagoras of Alexandria and concern the following subjects: the testimony of the Codex Baroccianus about Athenagoras and the origins of the didaskaleion of Alexandria; the authenticity of Athenagoras' De resurrectione; De resurrectione in the face of Valentinian gnosis; Athenagoras and Tertullian on the resurrection; the “food chain” argument in De resurrectione; scriptural citations in Athenagoras; the editions of Athenagoras printed in the 16th- and 17th-centuries; and Athenagoras' place in Christian thought. The work concludes with a bibliography of studies concerning the Greek apologists and Athenagoras of Alexandria in particular.
Cet ouvrage regroupe sept études déjà parues et une étude inédite, toutes consacrées à Athénagore d'Alexandrie et portant sur les sujets suivants: le témoignage du Codex Baroccianus sur Athénagore et les origines du didaskaleion d'Alexandrie, l'authenticité du De resurrectione d'Athénagore, le De resurrectione face à la gnose valentinienne, Athénagore et Tertullien sur la résurrection, l'argument de la «chaîne alimentaire» dans le De resurrectione, les citations scripturaires chez Athénagore, les éditions d'Athénagore imprimées aux XVIe et XVIIe siècles, et le rôle et la place d'Athénagore dans la pensée chrétienne.
