Análise temporal de uma área manejada experimentalmente na Amazônia Central.
Résumé
This study was carried out in a forest management experiment. The experiment is part of a multi-
disciplinary project, which was proposed in order to answer questions related to forest management in
Amazonian non-flooded forests. The installation occurred in 1980 at ZF-2 INPA experimental field site in
Manaus region. This study aimed to evaluate the potential of LANDSAT TM for detecting difference during the
period 1989 – 1997 in 4 plots; 3 in experimental logged forest under different intensity levels (T1 – removal of
1/3 of merchantable basal area; T2 – removal of 50%; and T3 – removal of 2/3 of basal area), and one in the
control – T0. The Normalized Difference of Vegetation Index (NDVI) and spectral mixture analysis were
applied in LANDSAT TM images. The results have shown statistical difference (p > 0.01) between treatments
observed in temporal analysis of the NDVI, vegetation fraction image and shade fraction image.
