Analyse fibroscopique des consonnes sourdes en berbère
Résumé
This article deals with laryngeal adjustments during
the production of singleton voiceless consonants in
Tashlhiyt Berber. It focuses on the influence of
place and manner of articulation and effects of
position in the word. Results provide evidence that
the degree of glottal opening as well as the velocity
of abduction-adduction gestures vary according to
the place of articulation of stops and fricatives and
their position in the word. Systematic differences,
reflecting a universal tendency, were also observed
between stops and fricatives. The specific laryngeal
adjustments during the production of uvulars and
so-called pharyngeal will be briefly outlined in the
discussion.
