Empirical investigation of the impact of supply chain practices on a firm's performance

Résumé

In recent years, different practices have been adopted in the implementation of supply chain management systems. Though numerous studies have looked at the relationship between these SCM practices and the development of a competitive advantage, they remain dispersed and incomplete. This paper aims firstly to clarify the notion of SCM practices and secondly to establish relationships between these practices and business performance (both financial and non financial). Our results, obtained through a series of regression analysis, show that SCM practices impact on performance at varying degrees
