Résumé

The gestures we are seeing every day are, in fact, the announcement of the gesture and not the gesture itself. There is a whole network occipito-temporo-parietal whose structure is involved in decoding biological motion (Perrett et al., 1985, 1989, Oram and Perret, 1994; for a review, Allison et al., 2000). Furthermore, neuronal activities recorded in the STS (superior temporal sulcus) are largely modulated by the perspective of the observer. If he moves, the cellular response changes (Perrett et al., 1989, 1991). Works imagery have recently shown that the response of our brain to the observation of a given action depends directly on our ability to perform this action. Seven phenomenon support this hypothesis that are: The recognition of the novelty of the gesture, the abstract symbolic representation, mental imagery, the subject's intention, control predicted speed and position of the gesture, kinematic aspects dynamic properties of the gesture and the phenomenon of persistence. In this context, our representations are not passively endured, they are actively developed and the image is not a reflection but an operation. Bibliography: - Anna Esposito 2006.
