al-Anṣārī, Abū l-Qāsim

Résumé

al-Anṣārī, Abū l-Qāsim Salmān b. Nāṣir b. 'Imrān al-Arghiyānī al-Nīsābūrī al-Ṣūfī al-Shāfi'ī (d. Thursday 22 Jumādā I 512/10th October 1118). He was a descendant of the faqīh Maymūn b. Mihrān. He an Ash'arī theologian, a jurist, and an exegete with a ṣūfī orientation. He had been a student of Imām l-Ḥaramayn Abū l-Ma'ālī al-Juwaynī and a schoolmate of another student of al-Juwaynī: al-Ghazālī. He became a master of Tāj al-Dīn al-Shahrastānī, who recognizes in his autobiogaphy the influence he had on him at the beginnings of his formation, especially in exegesis.
