In 2007, a preventive excavation in Jean-Jaures Avenue has unearthed one of the largest houses of the antic city of Nîmes (France). The two main rooms' florr decoration (Pentheus' death, Achilleus on Scyros), which refers to Greek theatre, reflects the culture of a member of the local elite as well as the vitality of the district during the IInd century A.D. This paper proposes to replace the pavements in Nîmes mosaics context, describe them and consider each dating element available
