Résumé

Marine Le Pen's far-right Front National party continues to influence political discourse on both sides of the political spectrum in France, having won a record 6.8 million votes in the first round of France's 2015 regional elections. In the United States, Donald Trump has attracted a fervent political following, successfully playing on voters' sense of economic insecurity and adopting inflammatory anti-immigrant rhetoric. The panelists will shed light on what is driving populism in both countries and what it means for the future of our two democracies.
