The Šarafnāma and the Rūjikī rulers of Bidlīs in the 11th/17th century

This electronic article was written in the framework of the ANR project Dynamics of Transmission: Families, authority and knowledge in the early modern Middle East (DYNTRAN). It studies the manuscripts of the Sharafnâma, a history of Kurdish dynasties written by the prince of Bidlîs Sharaf Xân Bidlîsî (1543-ca. 1600), produced at the request of his great-grandson Sharaf Xân III at the end of the 17th century.
