Cet article prend pour objet l'actuelle politique de financement des étudiants anglais – un ensemble fondé sur le développement continu des frais d'inscription, des bourses et des prêts. Il analyse les techniques de financement sur lesquelles elle repose, ainsi que les modes d'enregistrement comptable avec lesquels l'État les appréhende dorénavant. Il montre l'avènement d'un État qui se pense et vit effectivement comme un gestionnaire d'actifs à la valeur marchande. Higher education: An asset?
