Measuring land-sea interactions at ports and cities : insights from geomatics and network analysis

Résumé

This contribution is a first attempt to link land-based and maritime network one another to jointly analyse the centrality of the world’s ports and port cities. Based on preliminary results from the case of Ireland and the United Kingdom, we conclude to a high efficiency of our model compared with existing estimations of land-sea interactions in the academic and operational worlds.
