Economía interna, relaciones internacionales de Cancuen y de sitios de su reinado
Résumé
"Studies at Cancuen have demonstrated that this center controlled the western “Ruta Maya” but only during the 8th century, although there is much epigraphic evidence that the dynasty began in the Late Preclassic. In 2004 we discovered the site of El Raudal near the juncture of the Pasion and Machaquila River systems. We know that it was a Preclassic and Early Classic site, and one of the most important Preclassic centers. El Raudal measures some 3 km² in area, has 10 architectural groups, large areas of domestic mounds, and a Preclassic structure of the same construction and volume as those of Nakbe. In this work we present the 2008 discoveries and their implications for Maya history. " (source éditeur)
