Nouvelles données sur l'exploitation des animaux sauvages de l'Epipaléolithique au Mésolithique final dans les Alpes du Nord et le Jura
Résumé
Many sites from the Northern Alps and Jura, recently studied or yet in study, give us precisions about hunting activities of people in this area, from Epipalaeolithic, around 12000 years BP, to Final Mesolithic, around 6000 years BP. Sites are mainly rockshelters. Diachronic study shows a relative stability; presence or absence of some species is related to climatic changes and altitude. Remains of domestic mammals in Late Mesolithic contexts set the problem of neolithisation and contacts between hunters and breeders. Topographie position, remains density, anatomical diversity and season are used to determine site's function.
