La parabola dell’ergologia
Résumé
This paper focuses on the Italian physiologist Angelo Mosso, whose researches are hereby studied in order to underline the parabola of the positive ideal of social reforming in the science of work. At the end of nineteenth century, on the basis the results of his researches on muscular fatigue, Mosso suggested a reform of workers' conditions, however towards the end of his life he abandoned these ideas of reform, developing a sociological theory in which the fatigue was seen as a sign of election. This philosophical development is not only due to a Mosso's political mutation but also to an epistemological change in the science of work.
