Résumé
Any scientific project is built through exchanges. Whether methodological or purely informal, they contribute to the advancement of issues that have remained unanswered. It is within this framework that the “Charleville” project has been able to benefit, over the past five years, from a fruitful collaboration between historical research and digital humanities. This article is the synthesis of the dialogue between the historian and the engineer at the origin of the latest exploration methods, which now allow access to new fields of research.
