La datation du "Contre Celse" et du "Commentaire sur Matthieu" d’Origène
Résumé
In the last years, two scholars (Panayiotis Tzamalikos and Ronald H. Heine) have
proposed a new dating for Origen’s Against Celsus and Commentary on Matthew. Since these
works are among the last ones of this author, their hypotheses also imply that Origen’s death
occurred much later than commonly believed. This paper discusses Tzamalikos’ and Heine’s
arguments. A thorough examination will show that they are not strong enough to justify
significant changes in Origen’s biography: the traditional dating of Against Celsus and
Commentary on Matthew (248-249) remains the most likely./
