Making indigenous and community lands visible globally: Pre-launch presentation of LandMark, global platform of Indigenous and Community lands

Résumé

LandMark : Global Platform of Indigenous and Community Lands which will be launched at the World Resources Institute in Washington DC on Nov 10, 2015. LandMark is a platform developed as a collaboration among 13 international organizations working on Indigenous land issues. It is the first interactive global platform on indigenous lands and is focused on providing information to Indigenous communities to monitor and support territorial rights. The platform offers: -layers of information of indigenous areas by country and data about area utilized and occupied by indigenous peoples, and - indicators of land pressure and legal compliance. It includes both lands that are demarcated or in other legal situations.
