Managing employability for workers made precariousness by working conditions combined with difficult personal situations: Evidence from industrial cleaning jobs

Résumé

This paper contributes to a deeper understanding of organisations managing employability for workers made precariousness by the combination of working conditions and difficult personal situations. Our research takes a qualitative approach to studying a sensitive sector known for its difficult working conditions. Specifically, we mobilise a case study of a French cleaning company. Relying on the intersectional approach, the main contribution of this paper is to highlight the combination of different disadvantages, which have experienced by workers, and which accentuates the weakening of their employability.
