"Others believe, we know"
"Les autres croient, nous savons"
Résumé
"Others believe, we know". This is how we might sum up the essential thesis of anthropology at the beginning of the 20th century. To the "primitives" belong affects and belief, responsible for the psychic and intellectual phenomena of participation-confusion. To us, logic and knowledge, even if we happen to be confused in the course of our daily lives. We propose to return to the meaning of the proposition by "symmetrizing" belief and knowledge, the modern and the "others".
