Central Banking, Monetary Policy and Gender: new frontiers
Résumé
This book is truly original in the sense that it is the very first book devoted to monetary policy and gender. Gender issues still matter in our everyday life since they refer to the following apparent paradox: the increased labour force participation of women and the maintaining of inequalities at the expense of women. In light of this, the originality of this book is to question how central banks as institutions deal with this apparent paradox, either through the gendered impact of monetary policy or through women’s experiences in central banks.
