Du « monde à part » au système social : l'amour comme facteur d'intégration sociale chez Niklas Luhmann
Résumé
In Liebe als Passion, Luhmann rejects the idea of an anthropological basis for the "need for love". He reconstructs the emergence of this need, which he analyzes as a specifically modern phenomenon closely correlated with the development of individualism. The purpose of this article is to show that the "need for love" manifests itself in Luhmann's analysis as a need for recognition, which enables the social integration of the individuals and their orientation in the social system. The system of intimate relationships thus appears to be a subsystem indispensable for the reproduction of the entire social system.
