Biographical Dictionary of Occupied China
Résumé
The Biographical Dictionary of Occupied China (https://bdoc.enpchina.eu/) aims to address one of the main gaps in studies on Japan’s occupation of China (1937–1945). Whether in Chinese, Japanese, or Western languages, no specific biographical dictionary on this subject currently exists. While it does not claim (far from it!) to be exhaustive, the BDOC is designed to facilitate a better understanding of the Japanese occupation state in China through the diverse biographical trajectories of its actors. The number of entries is expected to grow in the coming years. Each entry in French is followed by its English translation.
