La cartographie 2.0, vers une approche critique d'un nouveau régime cartographique
Abstract
The emergence of a new form of Web-mapping based on techniques and principles of Web 2.0 may be seen as an opportunity for participatory mapping. The acceleration of spatial data diffusion on the Web, generalisation of its use and diversification of its use generate unprecedented research perspectives. After exploring this new opportunities, we advance the hypothesis that critical cartography can offer a theoretical, suitable framework which could contribute to this debate, under the condition that partial conceptual renewal is envisaged, allowing the changes produced by the digital nature of spatial data.
L'émergence d'une nouvelle forme de cartographie reposant sur les techniques et les principes du Web 2.0 peut apparaître comme une opportunité pour la cartographie participative. L'accélération de la circulation de l'information géographique sur le Web, la généralisation de son utilisation et la diversification de ses usages engendrent des perspectives de recherche inédites. Après avoir exploré ces nouvelles potentialités, nous défendons l'hypothèse que la cartographie critique peut offrir un cadrage théorique pertinent pour participer à cette réflexion à condition d'envisager un renouvellement conceptuel partiel qui permette de prendre en considération le changement induit par la nature numérique des données géographiques.
