This interview examines the life of the queer poet and activist Saghi Ghahraman. She fled her native Iran after being arrested for working with a communist organization’s women’s branch. She has been living in exile in Canada for three decades and is devoted to providing a voice for the Iranian gay, lesbian, and trans community.
Cet entretien revient sur la trajectoire de la poétesse et militante queer Saghi Ghahraman. Elle a fui son Iran natal après avoir été arrêtée pour son engagement dans la section féminine d’une organisation communiste. Elle vit en exil au Canada depuis maintenant trente ans, et s’est affirmée comme porte-parole de la communauté gay, lesbienne et trans iranienne.
